The first progress reports were issued on September 29 and are available on Campus Student and Campus Parent. If you have not checked progress reports yet, please do so. We want to remind students that every assignment counts. Zeroes can have a big impact on your overall course average. JTHS Health Documentation Deadline Oct. 15
The deadline to submit the health documentation required by the Illinois School Code is Thursday, October 15, 2020. This documentation is required for your student to continue attending school. View More Info

Give Something Back Scholarship for Freshmen
Joliet Central and Joliet West High School freshman students can apply for the Give Something Back Foundation Scholarship. Give Something Back Foundation, GSBF, is a four-year mentoring and scholarship program that starts during the freshman year. Students approved for the program must maintain a “B” average or higher while in high school. Students must be eligible for the full Pell Grant, demonstrate high academic achievement, and be of good character. The Foundation helps cover the cost of education at a partner college.

GSBF is presenting virtual information sessions using Zoom. Joliet Central High School is hosting a virtual session in English and Spanish on Wednesday, October 21st at 6 pm. All Joliet Central and West freshman parents, guardians and students may register for this session, or any of the sessions found in THIS DOCUMENT.

Thanksgiving/Christmas Food Baskets & Stars of Hope Program Registration
Morning Star Mission Ministries, Inc. is providing food and gifts for homeless and low-income families this holiday season. Families must register in advance by visiting the Morningstar Mission Drop-In Center on 360 E Washington Street in Joliet on October 6, 7, or 8 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. During registration, please park on Washington Street only. The person who registered must come to pick up the items on November 24th and December 22nd with a photo ID. Illinois Civil Air Patrol Open House on October 3
Illinois Wing of Civil Air Patrol will host a virtual state-wide open house on Saturday, October 3rd from 1PM to 3PM at https://ilwg.cap.gov/IL-Wing-O.... CAP volunteers will be present on-line to explain CAP’s missions for America and answer questions. Civil Air Patrol has something to offer citizens of all ages. 2020 Virtual Fall Service Academy Day
High School Students and parents can attend the Virtual Fall Service Academy Day on Monday, October 5 at 6:30 p.m. Representatives from the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and U.S. Coast Guard Academy will share information about applying for a U.S. Service Academy, update students and parents on admission processes, and take questions.
