JOLIET — Officers working the midnight shift over the weekend had their hands full by making not just one but two different arrests on the same night at a party in the Cunningham Neighborhood that was getting a little too out of control.
First, the officers took 31-year-old Joliet resident Christopher Miranda away from the party and moved him into the Will County Jail for domestic battery charges.
According to Joliet police's Dwayne English: the following events led to Miranda's arrest:

Then there was the arrest of 33-year-old Moises Cerda. The Joliet man was arrested and released on a Notice to Appear in Will County court on disorderly conduct charges.
Cerda was also at the same party as Miranda.
In his case, according to English:
At 11:56 p.m., the officers responded to the house in the 1200 block of Cora Street for a disturbance. While the officers were speaking to those involved in the disturbance, they were interrupted by Cerda, an uninvolved person who appeared intoxicated and was belligerent with the officers.
Cerda grew angry after believing the Officers’ body worn cameras were not activated. Officers indicated to him that the cameras were activated. Cerda then called 911 and indicated to the telecommunicator that he could shoot the officers if he wished.
Cerda was then placed into custody without incident.
