Woman Punched In Face, Then Thrown To Ground: Joliet Police
Michael Hood was found by Joliet police in his front yard, and he was placed into custody and taken to the Joliet Police Department.

JOLIET — For the second time in four years, 37-year-old Joliet resident Michael Hood finds himself in the Will County Jail. This time, he's accused of violently attacking a woman inside his house, throwing her to the ground.
Hood was arrested Tuesday evening and is facing charges of domestic battery and obstructing justice.
According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 8:53 p.m., the officers responded to Hood's house in the 2400 block of Timber Springs Drive for a domestic disturbance. Timber Springs Drive is located near Route 6, on the city's far east side, out toward New Lenox.

Officers determined that during an argument with a woman, Hood struck her in the face and threw her to the ground, police said.

However, Hood refused to comply with the booking process, according to police, so he was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility and that's where he remained on Thursday.
