Woman Who Vanished From Morris Was Found Dead: Callahan

No further details were immediately available, and the death investigation remains ongoing, officials said.

MORRIS — Grundy County Coroner John Callahan on Sunday said he is releasing the identity of the female body found Friday in the early evening hours. The person has been identified as 62- year-old Alison L. Findley of Morris.

Callahan said Findley was reported missing earlier in the day on Friday. An autopsy was completed Sunday afternoon and results were inconclusive.

Further forensic studies along with toxicology will take place in the coming weeks, according to the coroner.

Over the weekend, the Morris Police Department alerted people on Facebook that at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Friday, the Morris Police were called to the 900 block of Twilight Drive.

A resident from the area had been walking her dog and discovered the body of an adult woman. The body was transported to the Grundy County Coroner's Office and an autopsy was scheduled for Sunday.
