Wrongful Death Lawsuit Filed By Widow of Worker Crushed to Death By Log
The Genoa man was working at J&M Wood Products in Lockport.

JOLIET, IL — The widow of a worker crushed to death last year at J&M Wood Products in Lockport has filed a wrongful death lawsuit.
Brad Harders, 38, was killed in January 2016. The lawsuit filed in Will County court by Jennifer Harders says he was “struck and killed by a log while assisting in the operation” of a portable sawmill.
Brad Harders, a Genoa resident, got stuck on the sawmill’s conveyor, according to the lawsuit.

Jennifer Harders is suing Dixon Rusch, the company that manufactured the portable sawmill. She is also suing J&M Wood Products and Mitchell Linneman, who was identified in the lawsuit as the owner of J&M Wood Products.
Homer Tree Service and Combined Assets Development were also named as defendants. Homer Tree Service and Combined Assets Development owned or leased the Archer Avenue property where Brad Harders was working, the lawsuit said.
