2 LT Students Named to Represent at the HOBY Leadership Conference

LTHS Sophomores Leah Monahan and Samantha Smith have been selected as the LTHS representatives at the Hugh O'Brien Youth (HOBY) leadership conference in July this year.

All sophomore students at Lyons Township High School were invited to apply for this opportunity. The students were asked to demonstrate their potential leadership ability through their essay and resume of activities/community service.

HOBY's mission is to inspire and develop our global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service and innovation. HOBY programs are conducted annually throughout the United States, serving local and international high school students. HOBY programs provide students selected by their schools to participate in unique leadership training, service-learning and motivation-building experiences with the hope participants will bring back their leadership knowledge to their schools and make a positive impact on activities and their peers.
