Adventist La Grange Hospital Open As Warming Center

The hospital is prepared to provide temporary shelter for residents in need of this service between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.

LA GRANGE, IL — In response to the winter weather advisory for frigid temperatures for the next several days, the village of La Grange, in cooperation with Adventist La Grange Hospital, is prepared to provide temporary shelter for residents in need of this service between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.

The village said if you, a family member or neighbor are in need of such assistance, go directly to Adventist La Grange Hospital, at 5101 S. Willow Springs Road. Use the emergency room entrance, ask for security, and indicate the need for the emergency shelter. Hospital security will provide an escort to the designated area.

Extreme weather conditions can be especially dangerous for older adults. According to the village, if you have family members that live in other communities, you may wish to contact those communities to inquire how you can receive similar updates of an emergency nature.
