Cooling Centers Open In La Grange Area During Extreme Heat
Those without air conditioning can stay cool at these places.
LA GRANGE PARK, IL — Residents in La Grange and nearby towns without air conditioning still have a few options to stay cool during the excessive heat on Friday and possibly beyond. The village of La Grange Park shared the places that are open as cooling centers as part of their weekly e-briefs. Here they are:
• La Grange Park Village Hall, 447 N. Catherine Avenue (Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
• La Grange Park Public Library, 555 N. La Grange Road (during regular business hours)

• Proviso Township, 4565 Harrison, Hillside (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) - Transportation to and from is available.
• AMITA Health Adventist Medical Center, 5101 Willow Springs Road, La Grange (24 hours).
