D102 Community Meetings Take Place Through Aug. 11

Community meetings will be held to discuss long-term financial projections and discuss the issue with all residents.

LA GRANGE, IL — On June 8 the La Grange School District 102 Board of Education passed a resolution to pursue a referendum for the Nov. 8 election.

The District will continue to solicit feedback from the community and explore its options to ensure financial stability in the District, with community meetings beginning Aug. 1.

At these meetings, members of the District 102 Board and administration will listen to and consider the next action to be taken at a Board meeting to be held prior to August 22.

Meetings will be offered from 7-8:30 pm at the following locations:

  • August 1 – La Grange Public Library, located at 10 West Cossitt Avenue in La Grange.
  • August 4 – Park Junior High School, located at 333 N. Park Road in La Grange Park.
  • August 8 – La Grange Park Public Library District, located at 555 N. La Grange Road in La Grange Park.
  • August 11 – Congress Park School, located at 9311 Shields in Brookfield.

If the Board decides to formally initiate the referendum process, it will need to do so by Aug. 22.
