Des Plaines River At Moderate Flood Stage In Riverside

RIVERSIDE, IL — The Des Plaines Level is at moderate flood stage in Riverside. According to a release from the village, the river is at a depth of 8.52 feet, and is expected to crest at 8.9 feet. This depth is considered the moderate flood stage, which means the Swan Pond area will be flooded and there is limited street flooding throughout the village. Street flooding is being monitored by the public works, police and fire departments.

Village staff continues to monitor the river level and will do so until the waters recede. You can check the river level here.
