La Grange Experiences Localized Flooding, Standing Water From Saturday's Rain

La Grange has received 7.10 inches of rain since early Saturday morning.

LA GRANGE, IL — La Grange has received 7.10 inches of rain since early Saturday morning, according to a release from the village. The village said the volume and rate of rainfall exceeded the storm sewer conveyance system resulting in localized flooding and standing water.

According to the village, this rain event was greater than a 50 year storm event; this event had less than a 2 percent chance of occurring in any given year.

Residents are asked to please report any emergency issues that still require immediate attention by calling 911. Otherwise, residents are asked to provide the village with flooding information using the online flooding event form.
