La Grange Nursing Home Sued for Allegedly Contributing to Death of Patient
The complainant claims nurses failed to provide proper assistance to the patient and didn't treat him properly after a bad fall.
A representative of a man who died from a traumatic brain injury in a La Grange nursing home is suing the facility and two nurses for contributing to the patient's death, the Cook County Record reported.
Simon Symeonides filed a wrongful death claim Jan. 23 in Cook County Circuit Court against Lexington Health Care Center of La Grange and two of its nurses. According to the Record, Chris Gabrielides, a patient at the home, allegedly fell while on the premises, sustaining a brain injury that contributed to his death.
Symeonides is claiming the nursing home staff didn't give Gabrielides the help he really needed to eliminate the risk of falling, and that they didn't properly treat him after the accident.
