La Grange Offers Cooling Center For Residents

La Grange's hospital serves as a cooling center as heat indexes could hit as high as 110 degrees

LA GRANGE — La Grange has a temporary cooling center for residents as the village anticipates hot and humid weather conditions this week.

The entire Chicago area is under an excessive warning until 8 p.m. Tuesday. Heat indexes could between 106 to 110.

The La Grange hospital, 5101 Willow Spring Road, will serve as a cooling center for La Grange and Western Springs residents between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. The village is asking that those who are seeking shelter to use the main emergency room entrance, ask for security and indicate they need the cooling center. Hospital security will provide an escort to the center.
