Residential Burglaries Are On the Rise: La Grange Park Police

The police department issued an alert Friday about three incidents they believe are related.

The La Grange Park Police Department is warning residents about a recent uptick in the number of residential burglaries in the area.

There have been three reported residential burglaries in the Countryside area within the past few weeks, police said in a release, and several similar incidents in neighboring Western Springs.

Cops said they think the three burglaries in Countryside were all committed by the same offender or offenders, since there were similarities at each scene. In every case, the crime was committed between 9 a.m. and noon on a weekday, and entry was forced through either a side door or the home's front door.
