Vernon Township is now accepting grant applications from local nonprofit organizations that serve Township residents. These grants are offered separately from the Vernon Township Community Mental Health Board and are intended for services not covered under the mental health umbrella. Applications must be received by Friday, February 28 to be considered.

Some agencies that have received grants in the past include: GiveNKind which supports local non-profits including the Food Pantry, while protecting the environment, Mothers Trust Foundation that provides immediate assistance during times of crisis to low-income children living in Lake County, KAN-WIN who works to eradicate gender-based violence through survivor-centered services and education and Faith in Action which provides senior transportation.

“We are proud to continue supporting the incredible nonprofit organizations that provide an array of services to our residents,” said Vernon Township Supervisor Tim Kobler. “Through these grants, we aim to strengthen community resources and ensure that programs that serve our residents remain accessible to those who need them most.”
