Children’s Events Abound in Lake Forest This Week

Children can see a film or a yo-yo master at the Lake Forest Public Library and win prizes for finding Waldo. There's plenty for adults too.

Though the City is making no official designations, a look at what is happening around Lake Forest and Lake Bluff this week might make one think it is Children’s Week.

Children can create crafts at the Lake Forest Public Library from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, watch yo-yo champion Mark Hayward at 2 p.m. Tuesday and watch a film while eating a brown bag lunch at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Waldo, the children’s book character, has been making appearances at 21 Lake Forest businesses this month and at 4 p.m. Wednesday the Lake Forest Book Store will be handing out prizes to those youngsters who have found him lurking in some or all of them. Kids, you still have time to take a look around town and collect the free stamps you need.
