LAKE FOREST, IL — When Christmas passes, what will you do with your tree? In Lake Forest, it's easy to responsibly dispose of holiday leftovers, including real trees. For Christmas trees, place them at the curb or at your regular pickup location during the month of January and they will be collected at no extra cost. Residents recycling their trees are advised to remove ornaments and decorations, plastic containers, tree stands, nails and lights. Collected trees will be ground up and composted.
