Coroner Identifies Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Car In Park City
Steven Crockett, 53, of Waukegan, was struck and killed by a Honda as he crossed Belvidere Road late Saturday night.

PARK CITY, IL — A Waukegan man has been identified as the pedestrian who was killed Saturday when he was hit by a car as he tried to cross a Park City street.
Steven Crockett, 53, was walking across the 3200 block of Belvidere Road around 11:36 p.m. on Oct. 12 when he was struck by an Honda headed east in the curb lane, according to the Lake County Coroner’s Office.
The driver of the Honda stopped in the center median after striking Crockett, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

The Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) was called in to assist Park City police with the investigation. Authorities said Crockett was wearing dark colored clothing at the time of the crash.
Deputy Coroner Steve Newton said the results of an autopsy conducted on Tuesday indicate that Crockett died from blunt force injuries caused by the crash.
