Driver Killed In Wrong-Way Crash: Lake Bluff Police

LAKE BLUFF, IL — A driver was killed in a head-on crash early Sunday morning in Lake Bluff, according to police.
Officers responded shortly before 5 a.m. to the front-end collision on northbound Route 41 south of Route 176, police said, adding one of the two vehicles was traveling south in the northbound lane.
One driver was dead at the scene, while the other was taken to a hospital with significant injuries, according to police.

Northbound Route 41 was closed at Route 60 for several hours following the crash but has since reopened, police said.
