Drunk Man Enters Wrong Home to Sleep: Police
While there, he drew on the fireplace, though he later couldn't explain why he had done so.

Drunk man enters wrong house
Police responded to a home in the 0-100 block of South Sheridan Road at 4 a.m. Oct. 5 for a 911 call about an intruder in the home. According to the homeowners, they heard someone downstairs and found an unknown man on the first floor.

The man left before police got there but was found nearby. He was identified as Spencer M. Carleton, 22, of the 4000 block of Utah St. in St. Louis, and was identified by the homeowner as the intruder. He was also found to have drawn on the home’s limestone fireplace with a permanent marker.

Carleton told police he had been drinking at a nearby party and left to go to a friend’s home to sleep. He became lost and entered the unknown house planning to sleep there instead, police said. He could not explain why he wrote on the fireplace.
He was charged with felony criminal trespass to residence and felony criminal damage to property. He was held overnight and transported to bond court in the morning.
DUI
Police responded to Route 41 near Westleigh Road for a report of a single-car crash at 11:30 p.m. Sept. 24. Officers spoke to Robert C. Albert, 55, of the 0-100 block of Winfield Dr. in Northfield, whose car had hit the median.
Albert admitted to drinking and failed a field sobriety test, police said. He was taken into custody for DUI and later produced a breath sample showing his blood alcohol content at 0.106. He was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was released on $3,000 bond and given an Oct. 24 court date.
Driving with a suspended license
Rosa A. Ceja, 27, of the 1400 block of 11th St. in Waukegan, was stopped by an officer at Route 41 and Gage Lane just before midnight Oct. 5 for weaving across lane markings and driving without taillights. She was taken into custody when found to be driving on a suspended license. She was cited for operating an uninsured vehicle and driving with a suspended license, released on $2,000 bail and given an Oct. 21 court date.
An officer stopped Anthony R. Gemmato, 71, of the 34400 block of North Almond Road in Gurnee, for a traffic violation at 4 p.m. Oct. 5 at Westleigh and Buena. He was cited for driving with a suspended license, released on $1,500 bond and given a Nov. 18 court date.
