Forest Park Beach In Lake Forest Closed Due To Air Quality Alert
City officials encouraged residents to limit their time outside, as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to make air unhealthy to breath.

LAKE FOREST, IL — City officials closed Forest Park Beach Wednesday in response to an air quality alert.
The alert, now in its second day, has been triggered by smoke from Canadian wildfires, which has blanketed much of the Midwest United States with particulate matter.
Lake Forest Parks and Recreation Department representatives said the closure was the best decision for the community and staff.
