Lake Forest Preservation Foundation event Will Incorporate History and Beauty

The Lake Forest Preservation Foundation will hold a Home and Garden Tour on Sunday, September 30 from 1-3 p.m., followed by a reception from 3-4 p.m. The tour will include three Lake Road homes designed by well-known architects such as Howard Van Doren Shaw, and gardens originally designed by notables such as OC Simonds and Warren Manning. 


Advanced tickets to the event can be purchased for $85 each online at www.lfpf.org, by mail to Lake Forest Preservation Foundation, 400 East Illinois Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045 or in-person at the Gorton Community Center on Sept. 30 from 12:30 - 1:15 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door on the day of the event for $100. Call (847) 234-1230 with any questions. 


Funds raised through this event will go toward education, advocacy and preservation of local landmarks, such as the East Lake Forest Train Station.
