Grill Fire Spreads to Back of Lake Forest Home

A fire from a barbeque grill ignited the back of a Lake Forest home Saturday evening, causing about $25,000 in damages, according to the Lake Forest Fire Department.

The department received a call just before 7 p.m. for a fire in the 900 block of Longwood Road. All the residents were out of the building when the fire department arrived, and firefighters were able to quickly put out the blaze.

The fire was contained to the exterior of the home and the rest of the roughly $800,000 home wasn’t damaged, the fire department said.
