Lake Bluff Condo Development Delayed
The debate continues for Lake Bluff's possible future development of Blocks 2 and 3.
A development proposal draws a crowd of more than 75 people at a public hearing that lasted more than four hours on July 20 at Village Hall.
The proposed plan for a 16-unit, two-building condominium was met with an unenthusiastic response due to an email the village received by Fredric Lesser and Mark Stolzenburg on July 19, the Daily North Shore reports.
Lake Bluff Plan Commission Zoning Board of Appeals Chairman Steven Kraus addressed the crowd and stated the email was 'not only critical of the project and proposed zoning changes but also attacks village officials,' the story said.

“A lot of what is in the email I find very offensive,” Kraus said in the story. “You all say this is a special place. We can disagree but we should disagree with civility. When this is done we’ll see each other in the store and at the barber shop," said Kraus.
Stolzenburg, who is an attorney, spoke about how the developer should deal with the changes to the code after board approval, the Daily North Shore reports.

“We are making a clear record of all these proceedings,” said Stolzenburg in the story.
The Village Board of Trustees will hold a possible vote at the next PCZBA meeting on August 17 at 7 p.m. at Village Hall.
