Lake Forest High School SAT Scores Keep Dropping: Illinois Report Card
The share of Lake Forest High School juniors testing at or above state standards in English fell by 8 percentage points from 2021 to 2022.

LAKE FOREST, IL — Test scores continued to decline in Lake Forest High School during the 2021-22 school year, newly released data from state education officials shows.
The Illinois State Board of Education on Thursday released its report card for for public school districts across the state, with information about academic performance, teachers, students, administrators and school environment.
The report cards include the last five years of SAT test results, with 2020 excluded due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

From 2021 to 2022, the percentage of Lake Forest High School 11th graders scoring at or above state standards on the test declined by 8 points to 60.6 percent in English language arts and fell by 2.6 points in math.
Back in 2017, more than 80 percent of LFHS juniors were scoring at or above state standards in English, with nearly 73 percent meeting math standards.

Test scores at Lake Forest High School are still better than the state average. Last year, just 29.8 percent of students met or exceeded English standards and just 28.8 percent met math proficiency standards statewide.
The one-school district has 1,454 enrolled students and spends more than $31,500 per pupil per year — up 6.8 percent compared to last year, according to the state data.
There is one administrator on the payroll for every 76 students in District 115, compared to a state average of one administrator per 147 students.
The only North Shore high school district with fewer administrators per student than the state average is New Trier High School, where there are 214 students for every administrative hire.
In District 115, the student-to-teacher ratio is 14:1, compared to a state average of 18:1. The district's certified staff-to-student ratio was 8:1, compared to a state average of 9:1.
