Welcome to The Episcopal Preschool -- a place known for its nurturing environment and broad, enriching curriculum. We have been serving the Lake Forest community for over 50 years and, today, are one of the most well-regarded early learning programs in the area. We offer a strong curriculum, a safe, nurturing environment and extended day enrichment programs to enhance early learning. Our mission is to develop each child to his or her fullest potential, spiritually, intellectually, and socially, so that each may grow in grace, enjoy freedom through knowledge, and lead a healthy, productive and meaningful life. Lawrence W. Anderson was born in Lake Forest, IL on July 1, 1935 to Axel and Amy (Allison) Anderson and passed away on December 9th, 2022 in Naples, Florida at the age of 87. He graduated from Lake Forest High School in 1954, where he met his future wife Frances Hiscox. They were married on October 5, 1957 in the 1st Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest and lived in the Lake Bluff/Lake Forest area until moving to warmer weather in Naples FL in 2005. Lawrence worked for Commonwealth Edison for over 37 years until his retirement in 1992. He served for 7 years in the USMC Reserves from 1954-1961. Lawrence is survived by his loving wife Frances (nee Hiscox); loving children Jeffrey L. Sr. (Elizabeth) and Brian R; loving grandchildren Kelly (Steven) Kowalski, Jeffrey L. (Lorraine) Anderson Jr., Brianne (Brian) Teune, Karen (Harris) Covington, Tyler (Alexis) McPherson, Ellie (Matt) Banis and Kyla McPherson; 10 great-grandchildren and sister Sharon Mink.
