Man Killed In Train Collision In Lake Forest Identified
A man who was struck and killed by a freight train in Lake Forest this week was identified by the Lake County Coroner.

LAKE FOREST, IL — The pedestrian killed in a collision with a freight train Friday in Lake Forest was identified by the Lake County Coroner on Wednesday.
The collision happened at approximately 12:09 p.m. on March 14 near the Lake Forest West Metra Train Station near Everett and Waukegan Road, officials said. Both the Lake Forest Police and Fire departments responded to the scene.
The man, who was identified as 72-year-old William Morgan of Lake Forest, was declared dead at the scene.

Traffic on both the Metra Milwaukee District North and Amtrack Hiawatha lines was temporarily halted while police investigated.
Preliminary details indicated that the train was a Canadian Pacific Kansas City Southern freight that was traveling from Bensenville to Portage, Wisconsin, according to police.
