Pot Arrests Made at Sunrise Beach

Police also made an arrest for DUI and unlawful use of a weapon on Route 41.

The following information is from the Lake Bluff Police Department.

Cannabis arrest at the beach

Officers conducted a foot patrol at Sunrise Beach at 11:30 p.m. May 9 and found 10 adults in the south shelter after beach curfew hours. Two were arrested for possession of cannabis.

DUI, unlawful use of a weapon

An officer conducted a traffic stop at midnight May 7 on Route 41 at Washington. The driver was arrested for aggravated DUI and unlawful use of a weapon. The passenger was also arrested for felony unlawful use of a weapon. Both were transported to Lake County bond court.

Missing bike

A complainant said she left her bicycled in the 0-100 block of West Scranton Avenue at 3:30 p.m. May 7 and was unable to find it a few hours later. Police found the bike behind the building and returned it to the owner.

Bullet holes in home

Officers went to a home in the 12600 block of Meadow Circle May 7  for a report of possible bullet holes in the rear siding of the home. Officers verified that they were, indeed, bullet holes that came from an open field behind the home, possibly from a hunter.
