Private High School Opens on North Shore for Troubled Teens
Newport Academy Day School is one of the first of its kind in this region, according to the Chicago Tribune.

A unique high school for teenagers with abuse problems related to drugs and alcohol, eating disorders and other mental health issues has opened on the North Shore, in Lake Bluff, reports the Chicago Tribune.
Newport Academy Day School offers rolling admission, meaning students can be accepted at any time and stay enrolled as long as needed, according to the Tribune.

Classrooms at the school are is self-contained, meaning all students are educated in the same space so they can interact and build a support system, according to the school's website. Every student also has an individual work station with a personal computer and access to a break room and kitchen.
