Report of Burglar is Actually Woman Who Locked Self Out

A semi also pulled down a telephone lines on Eva Terrace.

The following information is from the Lake Bluff Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Suspicious circumstances

Officers responded to the 0-100 block of West Sheridan Place at 12:30 a.m. Aug. 10 for a report of someone possibly trying to break into a home. The caller said he heard breaking glass. Officers checked the home and saw broken glass. The homeowner then walked out the back door and told officers she had locked herself out and broken a window to get inside.

Landscaping equipment stolen

Someone stole landscaping equipment from a business in the 300 block of Rockland Road.

House egged

Someone egged a house in the 300 block of East Washington Avenue while the owner was out of town.

Semi pulls down telephone lines

A semi truck pulled down telephone lines from the pole on Eva Terrace at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 13. The driver was able to move the truck without further damaging the line. The Eva Terrace access to Route 176 was closed with barricades.

Missing dealer plates

Two dealership license plates were reported missing Aug. 13 from a business in the 700 block of Rockland Road.

DUI

Officers responded to Route 41 at 11:30 p.m. Aug. 10 for a report of an erratic driver. The driver was located and pulled over, and arrested for DUI and driving with a revoked license.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 41 at 1 a.m. Aug. 14 for speeding and several lane violations. The driver was arrested for DUI.

An officer stopped a vehicle at Route 41 and West Washington Avenue at 1 a.m. Aug. 15 and the driver was arrested for DUI.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 176 at 2:30 a.m. Aug. 16 for speeding. The driver was arrested for DUI.
