Vernon Township Summer Camp Registration Is Open!

Vernon Township is excited to announce that registration is open for its popular Summer Camp for children ages 4-7. This fun-filled camp experience is packed with arts and crafts, games, sports, swimming and themed weekly activities. Special guest entertainers also join the fun throughout the summer. Lifeguard-led swim lessons will also be offered.

Summer Camp will be held at William E. Peterson Park, located at 16652 N. Buffalo Grove Road in Vernon Hills starting June 16 through August 1, Mondays through Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and are led by fully screened camp counselors.

“This camp is more than just fun - it’s an opportunity for children to develop social skills, build confidence and make lasting friendships,” said Vernon Township Supervisor Tim Kobler. “We encourage families to sign up soon, since spots do fill up quickly!”

To attend, campers must be potty-trained and able to dress themselves for swimming. Parents should also provide their children with a daily lunch, water bottle, bathing suit, towel, sunscreen and rain gear, because camp is held outdoors.
