Veterans, Newcomers Hold Key to Scout Girls’ Golf Season

Skinner, Hubbard and Donohue return for Lake Forest.

Last Year’s Record:              The Scouts were 5-5 in dual meet competition and 3-3 in the North Suburban Conference. 

Last Year’s Highlights:         Two players, Paige Skinner and Allison Hubbard, advanced to the Sectional Meet. 

Season Opener:                     The Scouts opened the season Thursday by winning the Libertyville Invitational with a 344.

Top Returning Scouts:         Skinner, Hubbard and Corinne Donohue. 

Leading Newcomers:            Lauren Wyatt and Emily Young.

Season Outlook:                    Lake Forest got off to a good start with a victory in the Libertyville Invitational. Skinner led the team with an 83 followed by Wyatt (84), Young (86) and Donohue (91). Coach Marlene Miller thinks the performance of the new players—Wyatt and Young—will be the key to the team’s success.
