ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Ryan M. Taylor, 47, of the 500 block of Turicum Road, Lake Forest, was arrested around 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 30 and charged with leaving the scene of a crash and two counts of driving with a suspended license after officers were dispatched to a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of Edgewood and Noble avenues. Police were told a pickup truck had struck another car while passing it and continued driving. The driver of the other car recognized Taylor from a youth hockey league, while one of the officers remembered he was arrested in December and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol in a separate hit-and-run crash. Officers couldn't find Taylor at home, but after they contacted him he drove himself to the public safety building to speak with police, which resulted in the second count of driving with a suspended license. Taylor reportedly told police he did not stop because he was in a hurry to get to an event.
