Bears Choose Kevin White with 7th Pick: Have Your Say on Chicago's 2015 NFL Draft in a Live Blog

Fans and sports writers come together in a live draft blog.

With the seventh pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, hosted in Chicago for the first time in 51 years, the Chicago Bears and new head coach John Fox selected wide receiver Kevin White. The hometown crowd let out a big cheer as Roger Goodell read White’s name.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled right now,” new Bears GM Ryan Pace said. “He’s big. He’s strong. He’s ultra-competitive.”

After the Brandon Marshall trade, the Bears needed an electrifying, sure-handed receiver for Jay Cutler to target. Chicago Tribune sportswriter David Haugh says White, who played for West Virginia, is ”out of the Larry Fitzgerald mold.”
