Andy’s Thai Kitchen Makes a Splash in Lake View
Everyone's talking about the new restaurant on Wellington that tingles the taste buds without breaking the bank.

While Lake View is no stranger to unique eats, Andy’s Thai Kitchen at 946 W. Wellington Ave. off Sheffield Avenue is certainly making waves between food critics.
From Facebook followers on Patch to critics at the Chicago Sun Times, this new restaurant seems to have won over almost everyone in Chicago. A restaurant reviewer with the Times calls Andy’s crispy on choy “one of the very best dishes in Chicago.”
In addition, a critic at the Chicago Tribune says, “You can probably score decent Thai food with less headache at any number of places, but they won't nearly be as thoughtful or crowd-pleasing as Andy Aroonrasameruang's cooking.”

The famed chef, formerly employed at TAC Quick, is receiving praise for his work in Lake View. He got two and a half stars from the Sun-Times’ critic, saying the new restaurant is making its case as one of Chicago’s best. And with the average price of an entrée being $9, it’s hard to go wrong.
Andy's Thai Kitchen is open Monday-Friday from 11 a.m.-10 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday between noon-10 p.m.
