1. Police are searching for a bank robber who held up a Boystown bank Wednesday. The suspect got away with close to $2,000 after passing the teller a note at Byline Bank on North Broadway. No weapon is seen in surveillance video. (CWB)

2. Some police officers are fighting back against Chicago’s vaccine mandate. Employees are required to report their COVID-19 vaccination status by today’s deadline, but police union president John Catanzara said he’s “ready for a fight,” threatening that as much as half the police force could walk out this weekend due to the requirement. 3. The state of Illinois could begin vaccinating children as soon as November, NBC News reports. The Biden administration reportedly told Gov. J.B. Pritzker to prepare to vaccinate children five and older “should the FDA clear Pfizer's COVID vaccine for that age group in coming weeks.” (NBC5)

4. Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church will host its sixth annual Vigil Against Violence this weekend. Tomorrow’s event will remember the lives of 76 children killed by gun violence in Chicago this year. (Block Club)

5. Epic Kitchens is expanding to Lakeview with a grand opening celebration this weekend. Its second location at 3332 N. Broadway St. "will house four fast casual brands all under one roof." (QSR)
