2. A "very millennial" coffee roaster is making plans to open in Lakeview. “We want to serve everyone on the spectrum of caffeine drinkers," owner Alicia Zyburt said of Bae Coffee Company, which she will open with her partner Devon Owens. The roaster at 2945 N. Broadway hopes to open in late 2021 or early 2022. (Eater)

3. House City, a 10-part music series put on by the city, will have its finale in Lakeview on Oct. 1. Six DJs and performers will put on a show at 3737 N. Clark St. next weekend. (City of Chicago)

4. Chicagoland families are facing a child care shortage, with some Lakeview parents saying it is difficult to retain nannies. Neighborhood resident Albert Riley Graupmann says his family has gone through four nannies since the pandemic began, a similar story faced by many working parents who say they can no longer juggle working from home and taking care of their children after school.
