Here are the top stories in Lake View today:

1. The Chicago Police Department is warning residents about a string of carjackings and armed robberies on the Northwest Side this week. Police say the carjackers appear to be targeting women. (ABC7)

2. Chicago health officials removed Connecticut and Washington D.C. from the city's travel advisory Tuesday. Travelers from the remaining 48 states are advised to get tested for COVID-19 upon arrival and self-quarantine for seven days. (WGN)

3. Traffic was stalled Tuesday after a car rear-ended a street sweeper on Lake Shore Drive in Irving Park. Two men were treated for injuries at University of Chicago Medical Center. (CBS Chicago)

4. The Chicago City Council has voted to approve an eight-year police contract with a 20 percent pay raise for officers. In a 40-8 vote, the aldermen "rose above above bitter disappointment that the city did not take greater advantage of its opportunity to demand police reform." (Paid source: Chicago Sun-Times)

5. Eight Chicago aldermen sent a letter to the Chicago Department of Public Health urging city health officials to require proof of vaccination when dining indoors. Vaccine proof is already required in some Chicago establishments, including Beermiscuous Tavern in Lake View. (Illinois Policy)
