1. Chicago officials will host a public hearing Dec. 16 to discuss proposals for a future casino in the city. Five potential sites are being considered for the project, which could help the city generate $200 million annually. (WBEZ)
2. The city continues to average about 514 cases of COVID-19 per day, which poses risks as families and friends gather this week for the Thanksgiving holiday. However, gatherings of fully-vaccinated people “are far safer than they were last year,” according to WBEZ. (WBEZ)
3. Lakeview will light its community Christmas tree tonight outside St. Alphonsus Church. Santa Claus, carolers and hot cocoa from Golden Apple will be included in the annual holiday event. (Chamber)
