Incident at Navy Pier Before Fireworks Show
Someone may have set off a firework at Navy Pier. Ambulances were called.
Someone set off a firework at Navy Pier shortly after 8:30 p.m. Saturday, according to authorities, causing a loud explosion, panic and a request for three ambulances.
WGN 9 News is reporting that no injuries have been reported as of 9:05 p.m. The incident took place near the entrance.
The evening fireworks show is expected to go off according to plan.
