Lake View Holds Retirement Party for Neighborhood Officer
After serving and protecting, one neighborhood group wants to say 'Thank you' for the years of service.

After years of serving and protecting the community, one neighborhood group is joining together to say “Thank you,” to an officer retiring from the Chicago Police Department.
Ald. Tom Tunney (44th), Lake View Citizen's Council member Diann Marsalek and Trader Todd's have collaborated to throw a retirement party for Officer Tony Martinez, the man responsible for keeping their neighborhood safe.
The tropical-themed party will be held at Trader Todd’s, the tiki bar near the corner of Belmont and Sheffield avenues. Scheduled for this Friday from 6-8 p.m., there will be appetizers and free drink tickets courtesy of the restaurant. The group will also collect donations to the Sheridan Park Advisory Council Boxing Fund in Martinez’s honor.
