Police Search for Lake View Bank Robber, FBI Investigates
The FBI is investigating a bank robbery in Lake View, the same night as one in Wicker Park, and they need your help to find him.

Chicago Police and federal authorities are on the hunt for a man who they said robbed a local bank over the weekend.
The robbery occurred Nov. 10 at the North Community Bank branch at 1401 W. Belmont Ave. right off Southport Avenue, according to police.
The suspect, who is still at large, is simply described as a short Hispanic male. The man walked into the Lake View bank, told the teller “This is a bank robbery,” and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police and the Chicago FBI are staying mum in hopes of catching the thief, adding that nobody is in custody at this time. In addition, police have yet to catch the middle-aged black man behind a Wicker Park bank robbery the very same night.
Thus far in 2012, the City of Chicago has seen 171 bank robberies. That’s compared to the 115 total bank robberies last year. Chicago’s record year for bank robberies is 2006 with 284 incidents on record.
