Here are the top stories in Lakeview today:
1. Sunnyside Dispensary is taking steps to move locations within the next four to six weeks. Cannabis company Cresco Labs will move the store three blocks south of its current location at 3812 N. Clark St. to the space formerly occupied by John Barleycorn. (Block Club)
2. Pizzeria Coalfire Chicago was forced to close its Lakeview and West Town locations this weekend due to short staff. A tweet from the restaurant read: "We are closed today. I simply do not have enough people to open. In nearly 15 years of selling pizza, this has never happened.” The locations are expected to reopen today. (FOX32)
3. An 18-year-old has been charged with stealing more than $4,500 worth of merchandise from a Gearheads store in Lincoln Square early Saturday. Paul Fox was charged with felony burglary for breaking into the store in the 4700 block of North Lincoln. (CWB)
4.The city is celebrating the Chicago Sky winning its first WNBA Championship. The team defeated the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday by a score of 80-74. A celebration will be held Tuesday in Millennium Park. (WGN9)
5. Chicago International Film Festival artistic director Mimi Plauche is explaining the decision to expand this year’s fest from the usual venue, Streeterville’s AMC River East: “Some people can’t come downtown, or they’re not comfortable yet, but they might go to a screening right in their neighborhoods.” Music Box Theatre will host screenings through Oct. 24.
