Small Business Saturday: Lake View Residents Share Their Favorites

See what local hot-spots Lake View residents say are the best in town. From Pie Hole Pizza to La Gondola, here are a few local favorites.

In honor of Small Business Saturdays, Lake View Patch asked our Facebook followers to give their favorite local shops a shout-out, and we saw a great response.

"What are your favorite local businesses and why?" we asked. "If they have Facebook pages, tag them in the comments and say where they are!"

"Fish Bar ChicagoATK Andy Thai KitchenLa Gondola – because they are delicious, relaxing atmosphere and a very short walk from my house," wrote Lee Crandell. "Sheffield's Beer and Wine Garden for beer and BBQ on non-game days. Heritage Bicycles General Store for coffee and bike-envy."

"I second La Gondola - solid italian you can count on!" Jenny Mack wrote. "To add to the list: CRISP for great wings and fast food, Pizza Rustica Chicago for the best pan pizza in Chicago hands down!!, Justins for a fun bar, trivia and beer garden. I've never had a bad time!"

"Philly's Best for stupid good and fatty cheese steaks, Wishbone Restaurant and Kanela Breakfast club for brunch you can always count on to cure your hangover, and last but not least, Cafe 28 when you are craving a good latin dish!"

"Too many to name, but let's start with Rocks, 3463 N Broadway, Pie hole pizza, 3477 N Broadway, Brendans pub 3169 N Broadway," commented Dale Jennings. "Car Care specialist 2909 N Lincoln Ave, European American Motors 3541 N Lincoln Ave, Halsteds 3441 N Halsted St, Sidetrack 3349 N Halsted."
