1. Chicago police have officially issued an alert about armed robberies in Lincoln Park and Lakeview. Three incidents occurred in the span of a week in the 1600 block of North Orchard Street, all related to the sale of goods arranged online. (CBS2)
2. Bears coach Matt Nagy tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday. No other cases were reported on the team after Monday’s testing, though four players are already on the COVID-19 list. Nagy is vaccinated and says he feels “pretty good.” (ESPN)
3. More than 9,000 homes were left without power Monday due to storm conditions. ComEd restored power to more than 80 percent of the more than 18,5000 affected households in Cook County early Monday morning. (Paid source: Tribune)
4. Yesterday’s storms led to “dangerous conditions” along the Lakefront Trail, which is closed indefinitely due to a lakeshore flood advisory from the National Weather Service. High waves caused closures from Fullerton to North Avenue, North Avenue to Ohio Street and 47th Street to 51st Street. (Block Club)
5. More than 100 city workers and firefighters are suing Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Gov. J.B. Prtizker over their COVID-19 vaccine mandates. Detractors say they are basing the protest “on their right to choose what they do medically with their own bodies.” (ABC7)
