SWAT Called To Lake View Home For Suicidal Man
Police were on scene in the 800 block of West Newport for more than 3 hours late Friday, early Saturday morning.
LAKE VIEW, IL — A SWAT team responded to a Lake View home late Friday night due to a man threatening suicide, according to news reports.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported authorities responded to the home in the 800 block of West Newport around 11:39 p.m. According to The Chicago Tribune, police were on scene for more than three hours and nearby streets were cordoned off.
The incident was resolved around 3 a.m. and no injuries were reported, according to the reports.
