2 Dead In Crash Near I-55 And Lemont Road: Reports

Two people were dead and one was injured in the early morning crash, according to reports.

LEMONT, IL — Illinois State Police were warning drivers to avoid the area after a fatal crash on I-55 near Lemont Road early Sunday.

Two people were killed and one was injured in the three-vehicle crash, ABC Chicago reported.

Just before 6:30 a.m., state police said all northbound lanes were closed, and traffic was being diverted off at I-355. The ramps from I-355 to I-55 northbound were also closed. All lanes had reopened as of about 9:15 a.m., according to state police.

The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. south of Lemont Road in DuPage County.
