Derby Road To Be Closed To Southbound Traffic In Lemont Thursday

The village's Department of Public Works announced that Derby Road would be closed heading south to 131st Street to thru traffic.

LEMONT, IL — Local motorists who typically travel south on Derby Road will need to make other plans after the Department of Public Works announced a portion of the roadway will be closed to traffic on Thursday.

Village officials said that thru traffic will not be permitted on Derby Road between Archer (Route 171) and 131st St. throughout the day. The village did not indicate when the road closures would begin but indicated it would just remain closed for the day.

Access to Ruffled Feathers Golf Club and subdivision and for Derby Road residents will be available from 131st Street, officials said.
