Young Artists Sought For Keepataw Day Parade Drawing Contest
You Can Be a Lead Parade Banner Holder for the 72nd Annual Lemont Keepataw Day Parade!

The Lemont Keepataw Day organization, in partnership with the Lemont Public Library, is hosting a drawing contest for local youth ages 8 to 14 to win the honor of walking as a Lead Banner Holder in the 72nd Annual Keepataw Day Parade on Sunday, September 1, 2024, in historic downtown Lemont.
This year’s parade and drawing contest theme is Village of Volunteers. The parade committee selected this theme to celebrate Lemont's spirit of community service and volunteerism.
“This year’s theme is a testament to our community's caring, thoughtfulness, and helpful values. Even with its growth, Lemont remains a place where neighbors help neighbors, organizations raise money for worthwhile village projects, and even smaller projects make a significant difference in the lives of those in need,” said Beverly Marzec, Parade Chair.
