Drawing Contest Winners Announced for Lemont Keepataw Day Parade
Four Winners Have Been Selected and Will Carry the Lead Banner in the Lemont Keepataw Day Parade on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at 1 p.m.
Lemont Keepataw Day, a local nonprofit 501(c)3 arts, culture, and humanities organization, in partnership with the Lemont Public Library, is excited to announce the winners of their recent drawing contest.
The drawing contest was open to Lemont youth ages 8 to 14. Participants were asked to create a drawing showcasing the theme of “Celebrating 150 years of Lemont."
The winners will serve as the lead banner holders in the 71st Annual Keepataw Day Parade on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at 1 p.m. in downtown Lemont.

The four winners are Salam Ibrahim, age 14; Kensi Cunningham, age 9; Maddy Flynn, age 9; and Charlotte Iwanski, age 8. Congratulations!
Everyone who entered the contest is invited to be in the parade and walk/ride with the Lemont Public Library!

The 71st Annual Lemont Keepataw Day Parade will kick off at 1 p.m. A fun fest will follow directly afterward. The fun fest will feature live bands, food and beverage vendors, a craft market, many kids' activities, and more.
Additionally, 95.9 "The River" will broadcast LIVE from the Keepataw Fun Fest from 4 to 6 p.m. and will be offering chances to win tickets to an upcoming Queen & Adam Lambert show at the United Center on October 30, 2023.
